Gold mine collapses in Chelyabinsk Region, 1 person killed
CHELYABINSK, Sep 19 (PRIME) -- The Tsentralnaya gold mine in Russia’s Chelyabinsk Region operated by gold producer UGC, also known as Uzhuralzoloto, collapsed on Wednesday, killing one person, a spokesperson for the Emergency Ministry’s local branch told PRIME.
The mine collapsed at a depth of 820 meters, when two people were working there. Reasons are currently being investigated.
